Default Water Trumpet, Cryptocoryne cordata var Blassii

Hi all,

This is one of my other plant addictions, Aroids. Pictured here is my newest bloom from Cryptocoryne cordata var. Blassii. In nature the leaves will mostly be growing underwater. The flowers will come up above the water line looking like trumpets sticking out of the water, hence the name.

This one I grow emersed and completely enclosed in a plastic cylinder. It gets some good sunlight in the afternoons and relatively cool temps. Oh and I feed it miracle grow. Also the water I have it standing in is full of old rotting Magnolia leaves.

Congrats Tin. Great looking plant.

Who did you get this one from? I got a couple from different sources and it seems the one I got from Ghazanfar is the most reliable bloomer.

Cheers.
Jim

I imported this one from a South East Asian dealer many years ago. Don't even recall the name.
