Boraras

The genus name Boraras is an anagram of Rasbora, a reference to the inverse ratio between the fin rays of the ventral and caudal fins of these species. They are all small schooling fish from southeast Asia.

The genus has six species:

Boraras maculatus
Boraras merah
Boraras micros
Boraras naevus
Boraras urophthalmoides
