Description

The Mini Gold Clam is an amazing creature that can be found all over the world. They are living filters that will remove uneaten foods and detritus from your aquarium, causing nitrate levels to drop and help maintain your aquarium water clean and clear.
This Freshwater Clam has a yellow/tan shell, and loves to bury itself in finer substrates. They are extremely peaceful and can be housed with inverts and other non-aggressive fish.
Clams will obtain their nutrients by filtering. Additional supplements can be offered in the form of invert pellets or sticks.

Care for them:

Nice Clam

Rated this a 4 since size & coloring are perfect for home aquariums especially small ones but so far they are basically inactive—- not even burying themselves in soft gravel. They are however, still alive…just still. Will update when I learn more.

Great transaction

Before I purchased, I had a couple of questions which were answered very quickly. They seem to be thriving and will buy more when i get my next paycheck.

Everything went well except the shipping

The website said shipping would take 1-3 days, but shipping ended up taking 7 days. 1 of the clams was open (dead) by the time it arrived. The others must have been in very stressed state. In the end, the clams appear to be the correct species and so far they seem to have been filtering after immediate pet care. I don't want to overblow the shipping issue, but I hope your company continues to thrive and also address it in the long term.
