Here is a very short video that my youngest son photographed, my daughter edited and the eldest son chose the background music, documenting , the preparation process of my sketch.

The construction of the new wing of the Tel Aviv Museum is finished.

I’m pleased to announce….Tel Aviv leads one of the hottest trends in architecture today….The “Origami Envelopes trend”.

I am aware of Preston Scott Cohen’s unique architectural geometry approach, that gave rise to the “Origami envelopes trend” ….

Origami Swan

Notice the formal similarity between the Tel Aviv museum and the origami swan

1. Both were created from the practice of geometry.

2. Both “facades” are characterized by sharp lines.

3. Both are characterized by a shell composed of numerous straight surfaces.

4. It seems that the shell has also a constructive role (Actually in the museum a steel construction was covered by precast concrete slabs)
