Invicta FC continues to grow its roster with the addition of Felice Herrig. The organization made the announcement on Tuesday morning.

Herrig is one of the most popular female mixed martial artists outside of the marquee bantamweight division. She brings a 9-4 record with her to Invicta with a four-fight winning streak.

The strawweight fighter who weighs 115 pounds is currently ranked No. 6 in the world by MMARising.com. This gives Invicta FC seven of the top 10 ranked women in this division.

Herrig most recently competed in March at Bellator 94. She picked up a split decision win over Heather Clark. She had a 3-0 mark in Bellator altogether with her other two victories coming against Jessica Rakoczy and Patricia Vidonic.

The “Lil' Bulldog” is no stranger to several of Invicta's roster. She has fought Michele Gutierrez, Barb Honchak, Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc and Carla Esparza. She is 2-2 in those bouts with her only losses coming at the hands of the current strawweight and flyweight champions, Esparza and Honchak respectively.

Herrig has a notable presence in the fighting world. She has been featured on Fight Girls on the Oxygen Network, and she has competed in Chuck Norris' short-lived World Combat League. She has also been featured on such shows as The Jeff Probst Show.

In a statement made in the official press release, Herrig noted her excitement about joining the all-women's promotion:

“I couldn’t be happier than I am now, after signing with Invicta FC,” said Herrig. “I have seen them do so much for women and really give them a chance to shine. I don’t think anyone realized how big Invicta FC would become, and I am truly proud to say I have found a home with them."

The strawweight division has long been the deepest in women's MMA, and now Invicta is starting to put them all under one roof. Exciting fights await, and Herrig will play a big role in that.

No date or opponent has been scheduled for her Invicta FC debut.
