Beaches, nightlife and water parks: enjoy the summer in Torremolinos

The Costa del Sol offers its visitors numerous destinations. One of the most attractive is Torremolinos, which offers the opportunity to enjoy its beaches, visit the fishing district of La Carihuela and eat in its many bars and restaurants where you can try one of the most traditional dishes of the local cuisine: pescaíto frito (fried fish).

 

The beaches of Torremolinos

The main attraction of Torremolinos is its beaches, where you can enjoy all kinds of water sports. The beaches have access for disabled people, are fully equipped with showers and toilets, and offer rental of sun loungers and parasols.

One of the most popular is La Carihuela beach. One of its main attractions is that it has a multitude of beach bars and restaurants where, after a long day in the sun, you can enjoy the area’s traditional dishes.

Los Alamos beach has a great range of beach clubs, which makes it one of the most lively beaches on the Costa del Sol. Another is Playamar, perfect for lovers of water sports because its characteristics make it ideal for these activities. Finally, El Bajondillo beach, near the town centre of Torremolinos, is located right on the esplanade, between La Carihuela beach and Playamar beach.

Aqualand Torremolinos and the Crocodile Park

Another of the attractions of Torremolinos is its water park. Aqualand Torremolinos has numerous attractions and different zones so that the whole family can have fun. In addition, it has a range of leisure facilities, with a number of restaurants, shops, green areas, sun loungers and a small golf course. 

Just next to this park is the Crocodile Park, where you can see different species of crocodile and learn about this fascinating animal.

Nature in the Jardín Botánico Molino de Inca (Inca Mill Botanical Garden)

Nature lovers shouldn’t leave Torremolinos without visiting this garden. Ideal to enjoy as a family, it is a wonderful garden that inspires tranquillity, with an original mill which has been restored and is in operation. The gardens will captivate you with more than 500 specimens of tree species, flowers and plants.

Another predominant aspect is water. There are three ponds with abundant aquatic plants, fish and different bird species. It also has four viewpoints, waterfalls, numerous fountains and canals that complete the charm of this beautiful garden.

Where to go out at night in Torremolinos

Torremolinos is one of the towns which offers the greatest range of nightlife. If you want to enjoy the best party right on the beach, the beach clubs on Los Alamos and Playamar beaches are the best option. Also, in the centre of Torremolinos, you’ll find the areas of La Nogalera and Pueblo Blanco.
