2 Ways To Style Vinyl

I am making the vinyl pants trend wearable and chic by sharing two SIMPLE outfit ideas. One look is dressy: think dinner, special events, and the other is more casual. I’ve also linked more vinyl and patent leather pants option below!

#1 | Holiday Party or Dinner

This first look is incredibly chic and perfect for a holiday party when you do NOT want to look like everyone else. Since the norm is to wear pretty dresses to holiday parties, I wanted to share a look that’s edgier and more modern. When I wear an edgy piece, I like to mix in some femininity as well. I’m wearing these edgy vinyl pants by RtA. They have an elastic waistband that makes them pretty comfortable. Since they’re sold out in most sizes I linked similar options below. I paired the pants with a really pretty dark floral print blouse to soften the outfit.

To finish off the look I’m wearing sleek black, pointed-toe booties by Michael Kors, fun, black-beaded earrings, and cat-eye sunglasses. You could also add a simple black clutch if you need it!

#2 | Casual Chic

This second look is more casual, versatile and wearable. This is a perfect day-to-night look. Maybe you are out running errands, but want to look polished and cool for your dinner in the evening. It walks that fine line between casual and dressy…and I love that about it! I paired the same vinyl pants by RtA with a turtleneck sweater and black booties. You could also do black booties with a lower heel if you wanted. Next, I threw on some sunglasses and earrings. It’s an effortless, cool look!

I talk quite a bit on YouTube about pushing the envelope or stepping out of your comfort zone. It’s important to try new things and experiment. I know these pants are stepping out of the fashion box for many of you, but try to remember… fashion should be FUN. Take risks. Try new things. Mix it up! These pants when paired with neutral, feminine pieces become much more wearable and sophisticated. I think you can wear these regardless of age.
