Drosera rotundifolia, (a.k.a. the Round-Leaved Sundew) is a temperate sundew found across much of North America, Europe, and Asia. It often grows in wetland areas such as bogs, fens, and marshes on or around sphagnum hummocks. As a temperate species, D. rotundifolia requires a cold winter dormancy period. To prepare for dormancy, the plant forms a small resting bud called a hibernaculum. After winter is over, carnivorous leaves will emerge from the hibernaculum and as the plant resumes active growth. Please note: These are young plants and will take some time to mature.

Came in a neat little colony of baby plants. Free bit of live sphagnum included that they probably grew into. Didn’t get the immediate satisfaction of an already mature plant, but who doesn’t like babies?
