The Los Cristianos celebrations, themed around the 1980s, will span 12 days featuring galas, performances, contests, dances, and activities suitable for all, catering to both locals and visitors.

The vibrant and eagerly anticipated International Carnival of Los Cristianos, Arona, is set to dazzle attendees from Thursday, 7th March, until the 18th March. Spanning 12 days, this carnival promises a kaleidoscope of colourful galas, dynamic shows, spirited competitions, exhilarating dances, and a myriad of activities all inspired by the exuberance of the 80s era. Crafted to cater to the diverse tastes of both locals and visitors alike, this celebration is poised to captivate audiences with its festive charm.


The unveiling of this year’s festivities took place at the illustrious Hard Rock Café in Playa de Las Américas, where Fátima Lemes, the esteemed Mayoress of Arona, alongside Alexis Gómez, the Councillor for Festivities and Safety, and Dácil León, the Councillor for Tourism and Economic Promotion, divulged the exciting details. A momentous revelation included the debut of the official carnival anthem, composed by Gilberto Martín and performed by David González, igniting anticipation for the jubilant affair ahead.

She heralded the return of beloved traditions like the Wig Party, orchestrated by the Arona Tourist Board, and applauded the diverse array of local and international talents set to grace the stage, elevating the carnival’s allure to visitors while preserving its local charm.

From daytime spectacles to nocturnal revelries, the carnival’s itinerary is brimming with an eclectic mix of activities, culminating in the grand finale on Monday, 18th March, featuring the traditional Burial of the Sardine accompanied by electrifying performances by local DJs.
