Cameron Diaz Has “Not Spoken To Jamie Foxx At All” Since Mystery Hospitalization, Has “No Clue” What’s Up With Their Troubled Film ‘Back in Action’: Report

Headlines surrounding Jamie Foxx’s hospitalization surged in April, and while he has been reported to be in recovery, the details of his medical complication remain unclear to many. Not even Foxx’s close friend Cameron Diaz is aware of his health status, or the fate of their upcoming film together.

A close friend of Diaz’s shared with The Daily Mail that “Cameron has not spoken to Jamie at all and does not know anything other than what she hears.”

The Any Given Sunday and 2014 Annie co-stars were in the process of filming Netflix film Back in Action when Foxx was hospitalized. The upcoming film was Diaz’s “comeback project” since her retirement from acting in 2018. However, while its filming is now complete, the Daily Mail‘s insider shared that the film has suffered “major setbacks in post production,” causing Cameron to have “no clue” about the fate of the film.

“Honestly, she is not sure what is going on with Back In Action and isn’t very proud of it, considering there was so much drama even before Jamie was hospitalized,” the insider shared.

Additionally, while Foxx convinced a hesitant Diaz to return to acting for this film, the two were reported to have fought during filming, causing Diaz to feel a “tremendous sense of guilt,” as she has “not been able to make amends,” per The Daily Mail.

Other friends of Foxx’s have reported not being in communication with him. John Boyega, Foxxx’s co-star in Netflix’s They Cloned Tyrone recently told Entertainment Tonight at the film’s premiere,“No one has heard from Jamie. I wanted him to show up here, but you know, I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with. I just wish him all the best.”

“I’ve been calling, I’m just gonna keep on calling,” Boyega continued, “He better pick up. Come on, Jamie!”

According to The Daily Mail, members of Foxx’s family have been spotted visiting a medical facility in Chicago that “specializes in treatment for adults with ‘severe complex conditions’, including stroke recovery.”

False accusations that Foxx’s conditions were caused by the COVID-19 vaccine were denied by Foxx’s reps, per the outlet.

Foxx’s daughter Corinne, who was the one to initially break the news of her father’s hospitalization on her Instagram, is set to co-host a game show with her father on FOX entitled We Are Family. The show is set to premiere in 2024.
