Biography

2012: In his final year with the Titans, played in 14 games making eight starts…Finished sixth on the team in points (12) and goals (8) and was tied for third with four assists…Recorded six ground balls and five caused turnovers…Half of his 36 shots were on goal…All eight of his goals came within a six-game span in the middle of the year where he had at least one marker…Tied his career high with four points on two goals and two assists at Mercer…Also netted two goals and caused a season-high two turnovers at Canisius…Found the back of the net against Michigan, at No. 6 North Carolina, at Georgetown and at Quinnipiac…Handed out an assist at Manhattan and versus Jacksonville…Picked up a season-best two ground balls at No. 19 Delaware and at Ohio State…

2011: Started 12 of the 16 games he appeared in…Was fourth on the squad with 12 goals and 17 points…Third on the team with 75 shots and picked up a career-best 21 ground balls…Had a .520 shots on goal percentage…Recorded his second career hat trick and tied his career-high with four points posting three goals and a helper against Robert Morris…Also attempted a career-best 12 shots in that contest…Scored the Titans’ first goal in both of their postseason games against Marist and Siena…Posted two goals and an assist in a road setback at Marist in the regular season finale…Found the back of the net at Ohio State…Had a goal and an assist at Mount St. Mary’s and in a home win over Manhattan…Twice picked up a career-high three ground balls in the road victory at Siena and in the MAAC tournament semifinals triumph over the Red Foxes.

2010: Played in all 15 games with six starts…Ended the year tied for third on the team with 13 goals, fourth with 21 points and tied for fourth with eight assists…Collected at least one point in 11 of the Titans’ 15 games…Scored his first collegiate goal in the season opener against Bellarmine…Netted his first hat trick with a career-high three markers as well as a helper for a career-best four points leading Detroit past Presbyterian for the Titans’ first-ever win…Also had three points on two goals and an assist at Siena and versus Mount St. Mary’s, while tallying a pair of helpers and a marker against Wagner.

2009: Saw action in all 11 games…Dished out two assists on the season and collected eight groundballs…Both of his helpers aided goals by Vince Wigdahl against Manhattan and at Bryant…Recorded 25 shots with 12 on the pipes (.480)…His season-high in GB’s was two at Air Force.

Prior to Detroit: Lehto was named a Michigan High School Lacrosse Coaches Association (MHSLCA) honorable mention All-State attackman as a senior at North Farmington High School…During his time with the Falcons, Lehto tallied over 180 career points and left holding the school record for points in a season as well as in a varsity career…He was named team MVP as a junior and senior taking home All-Area accolades in the process…Lehto originally signed with Wooster College, one of the top programs in Division III, but never played for the Fighting Scots.

Personal: Son of Penelope and Tom Lehto…Has one sister…Grew up on a street that produced four other collegiate athletes in Mark Moundrous (Michigan football), Jon Bills (Michigan football), Jeff Young (Albion basketball) and Stephen Doty (Michigan State baseball)…Majoring in Accounting.
