2011: Started eight of the 14 games he appeared in…A team captain for the second-straight year who was selected to the MAAC’s All-Tournament team…Had 13 ground balls and five caused turnovers on the season…Scored his second collegiate goal in a 19-3 victory over Mercer…Also picked up a season-best three ground balls in that contest…Set a career-high with two caused TO’s at No. 17 Delaware.

2010: A team captain, the long stick midfielder played in all 15 games, starting the first eight…One of 11 Titans with 20+ ground balls picking up 22 on the year…Caused eight turnovers and scored his first collegiate points on two assists and a goal…Collected a career-best six ground balls versus Quinnipiac…Had helpers against Presbyterian and Saint Joseph’s, but came up with his first goal at Canisius…Collected four GB’s and caused a pair of turnovers at Manhattan…Also has two caused TO’s against the Blue Hose.

2009: Appeared in all 11 games with 10 starts as a long pole midfielder…Tied for sixth on the squad with 18 groundballs…Posted a season-high three GB’s against Manhattan and at Quinnipiac…Did not attempt a shot on the year…A member of the AD Honor Roll.

Prior to Detroit: Played two years of club lacrosse for Michigan State in the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association…He played for coach Holtz as a freshman at MSU, ending the season with 26 groundballs…As a sophomore, he started all 13 games earning third team All-CCLA honors as a defenseman after finishing the year with 33 groundballs and two assists…Prior to MSU, he earned two letters in lacrosse at Rochester and was named third team All-State and All-Conference his senior year.

Personal: Son of Kathy and Roger Shoemaker…Has an older brother and sister…Lists playing on television in front of 5,000 people against U of M as his biggest thrill in sports…Enjoys skiing, golf, video games, working out and listening to music…A Mechanical Engineering major.
