The day Vampira died January 10, 2008. Let’s remember Malla Nurmi who was a Finnish-American actress who created the campy Vampira in the 1950′s. She portrayed Vampira as TV’s very first horror host and again in the Ed Wood cult film Plan 9 from Outer Space. Her beauty and looks were copied by many in the Goth culture. But she was the real life mother of Goth and always will be No one can steal that from her. Rest in peace Mother of all that we love.
