The Warehouse beetle is a close relative of, and is almost impossible to distinguish from Trogoderma granarium, the Khapra beetle (Stuart, Barak and Burkholder 1994). The possibility for misidentification has the potential to mask the introduction of the Khapra beetle allowing it to be come established and seriously affect Australian grain exports. (Established in Australia).
