Overview

A remake of the Richard Dean Anderson classic, the new Mac is young, hip, and still named Angus. The show is overly testosterone driven, and by all reports the set is a bastion of toxic masculinity. Joy.

It’s also absolutely not gay at all, except for some throw-away lines, and a character they brought in for the last few episodes.

Queer Plotline Timeline

In season two a new regular character is introduced – Samantha. She is accused of sleeping with the man she’s trying to rescue, to which she replies she doesn’t sleep with any of the men she works with. Or the women. She left the show after November Sweeps.

In season five, they introduced a transgender engineering genius named Parker. The show was canceled that same season, though.

Season 2, Episode 1 “DIY or DIE” – We are introduced to Samantha Cage.
Season 5, Episode 11 “C8H7CIO + Nano-Trackers + Resistance + Maldives + Mind Games” – Parker is brought on the team.
