Dwarf Blue Crayfish – Cambarellus Diminitus are docile crays, and can be kept in a colony without any worry of casualties. They also will not harm their babies and enjoy wandering around throughout the day, seldom hiding. Although they do love to adventure and part of that is exploring tunnels and picking through plants (however not eating them) They are very small, reaching a maximum size of 1.25″ and this is for fully grown adult females. The males are smaller and paler in coloration then the females. Because of these differences, they are easy to sex once fully mature. Also easy to breed, they “do it” lol – and voila! about 25-30 days later you can expect tiny white crays cutely waving their miniature claws around – boldly yet harmlessly claiming their own territory out in the open of their big new world!

These are hardy, fun crays and most of all – PEACEFUL – which makes it that much easier to just sit back, watch and enjoy them!
