We're a restaurant and bar close to Lake Charles in Louisiana. Folks love our happy hour drink specials, extensive dinner menu and pet-friendly patio. You will, too.

It is such a cozy and lovely restaurant with fantastic food. The ambiance was intimate. We came with a large party. We were seated promptly and were greeted warmly. Our server James was excellent. He was very friendly and efficient. He checked on us often and refreshed our beverages regularly.
I tried the blue crab ravioli and Cajun eggrolls, which were great fantastic. I ordered the Chipotle Pepper Linguine with crawfish for my entree choice. It was delicious. I didn't have room enough for dessert, but the choices looked wonderful. I have to try next time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joshua M.Celina, TX1234Mar 29, 2024Updated review
Massively disappointing on every level imaginable. I should have been paid to consume this. My shrimp was grossly Over salted and the remoulade is not at all a remoulade it is in fact Dijon mustard, sadly not even a good Dijon..... These are the nicest things I can muster. My wife politely brought our frustrations and concerns to the manager, apparently he has been neutered by the owner, and was unable to offer any help without the owner's consent and the owner was gone until at least tomorrow. Obviously I will not be back under any circumstance, which is sad because I did enjoy the Pub chips and in the past I have really enjoyed this place.

Ordered the Blue Crab Ravioli, which was supposed to come with a side a vegetables. The "vegetables" was like 2 thin strips of bell pepper and a few slices of zucchini. The ravioli itself was very thick and doughy, not cooked long enough. Hardly any crab within the ravioli. My server Kenzie was very kind and quick to bring things to me, very good service on her part.

The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. The staff were friendly. I ordered the Eggs Benedict which was just okay. Next time I'll try the Maryland Benedict. The hubby ordered the steak and eggs. The home fries were yummy. The steak while tasty was on the small side. The vanilla latte hit the spot. It sure warmed my belly on a cool crisp morning. Overall, I'd visit here again perhaps for dinner.

I was looking forward to my visit back to Pujo St, but left a bit disappointed. We visited on a Monday evening and decided to sit at the bar. Pros - the two ladies working behind the bar were very kind and worked very hard. The Rueben sandwich with sweet potato fries were quite good.
Cons - The tuna nachos appetizer had almost zero flavor except for wasabi. The tuna could have been left off the plate and I don't think it would have tasted any different. The vibe of the bar area was pretty tame . They have a cute, decorated patio area and a couple different dining areas, so probably those are better for ambience.Helpful 9Thanks 3Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Jamie, I'm so glad you found us! It's always a pleasure to have new visitors in town, and we know nothing beats a good Louisiana beignet on a budget. We can't wait until you come by again.
Warmly,
Dan S.,OwnerJan 24, 2019Previous reviewMy husband and I stopped by for brunch while we were in town. Cool restaurant/atmosphere. We went for brunch, but it would be nice to try lunch/dinner there sometime. The brunch itself was pretty good. We started with beignets, which were the highlight of the meal. My husband ordered a crawfish omelet, which he really liked. I ordered the waffle and bacon. The waffle was indicated to be "Belgian" but it was way too flat to be a Belgian waffle. Other than that, it was tasty and the bacon was good. What really made this place stand out were it's prices, which were very reasonable. Both of our plates were under $10 each. They also had discounted mimosas and the bartender, who was also our server, was very kind and attentive. We'll definitely stop by to try something else the next time we're in town.

Downtown, Lake Charles "Gem" of a restaurant. Wonderful, eye pleasing atmosphere with a New Orleans vibe!
Saturday brunch with my mom, and we split the Eggs Benedict and Shrimp & grits. Morgan, our waitress was absolutely charming and very attentive!
Food was wonderful, however we both felt the sauces, for both entrees could have been used a little more sparingly, as they over powered the flavors of the food. (Only reason I did not give a 5 star rating.) I will say the grilled shrimp, were cooked perfectly, as well as the eggs!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I stopped by with a colleague for lunch. It was recommended by Baton Rouge locals and I had to try it out. I'm glad that I did. We were instantly greeted. I ordered the shrimp poboy with sweet potato fries and pineapple juice. The food was absolutely delicious and super flavorful! The bread was soft and flaky. The sweet potatoes were amazing!
