Sunny Beach

Beautiful beach, quiet and free, can drive right on l.. clean. Nice spot to relax. Away from the path of tourists.

08/31/2023 & 09/01/2023 Surprisingly, clean beaches. We went to Sunny Beach and Babe's Beach, and it was nice. Lots of things to do, cheap parking if you want to park right along the seawall. We enjoyed it.

Lovely beach. Easy to pull up to the waterfront and enjoy the waves. Would highly recommend for a short visit but also incredibly suitable for a day at the beach. No need for 4x4. Only note, if you use the directions from Waze, ignore the final instruction to turn left just keep straight on 8 Mile Road to hit the beach!

This is where we go. Basically great because you can park car right on beach. Beach is wide. Surfs good. Beaches clean hit natural. Dog friendly. We like to use our suv for shade!

Super nice beach! Wanted to go for a run and I enjoyed the solitude. You can drive your car right up to the ocean which is very convenient. Def recommend for a quick trip to the beach.

This beach was great. Clean, not too crowded, and we were able to drive our car right up to the water without worrying about getting stuck in the sand. We brought our dog and he had a great time. Several other people had their dogs, most on leashes. I can't imagine going to another beach in galveston after finding this gem.

We were so happy to find this little hideaway not too far from Galveston. It's just a small distance past the seawall, and a lot less crowded. Very clean beach that you can drive on. Everyone was friendly and helpful!

Firs time at this beach I had a good time, relatively clean. Family oriented, dog friendly. This is a drive on beach which is really convenient! No pay to park entry fee also a plus. No amenities other than trash cans. 5 stars for me, I did what i came here to do.

Great little beach where everyone was socially distanced. No vehicular access at this time but plenty of parking in the neighbor hood adjacent to it.

What. On. Earth.
We went to this beach yesterday because of the awesome reviews. My husband and I brought our two young sons hoping to have a wonderful afternoon building sand castles and enjoying the waves. Instead we arrived at the trashiest beach by far I have ever been to. Seriously. I wish I could underline that and bold it.
Tons of teens and early twenties covered in gang tattoos, smoking pot and drinking beer, pitbulls tied up on the sand and trash everywhere. Definitely not family/young child friendly. There was no where to park your car or your ass on this whole beach, it was that crowded, so I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about. We went to the seawall today and it was much better. We found cleaner sand, less sea weed and a family friendly environment. They were even cleaning the beach when we arrived! Sunny beach was like hanging out in a toilet with 3,000 people you would rather not hang out with. Never again.
