Nadine Coyle has embarked on an entirely new career path that is miles away from her days in girlband Girls Aloud.

She’s fallen out with former bandmates, and has struggled to have a hit since, so Nadine is giving something new a try.

Nadine apparently about to start medical school to study to become a psychiatrist.

Yep, a million miles away from hitting the high notes on stage and winning Pop Stars The Rivals.

She took to Instagram to announce her news:

So she’s not giving up music entirely, but just having a new focus. Still means the end of any hope of a Girls Aloud reunion – if there was any hope. She’s not best pals with Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh or Nicola Roberts, so it was probably a bit far fetched anyway.

Most fans were quick to congratulate the star. One cynic wrote: ‘I can’t tell if you’re being serious or not.’

Well we’ll have to wait and see.
