Charley Webb has revealed that she’s got two projects lined up after leaving Emmerdale.

The actress, who portrayed Debbie Dingle on the ITV soap, shared news of her upcoming work with her fans on social media.

Posting a mirror selfie on Instagram, the 34-year-old wrote: ‘Costume fitting today for my new job.

‘I’m excited for the next 2 projects I’m filming over the summer and to get back on screen.’

Charley received messages of support from fellow actors, including her brother and Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, who added: ‘Yes babe x.’

Michelle Keegan, who rose to fame on Coronation Street, said: ‘Yaaaaay! Go on gurl.’

Emmerdale co-star Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria Barton, wrote that the news was ‘so exciting’, while Corrie’s Catherine Tyldesley added: ‘Wahoooooo’.

It was first reported last year that Charley would not be returning to Emmerdale.

‘Charley is closing the door on Emmerdale for good and won’t be going back,’ a source told The Sun in December. 

‘After she gave birth to her third child with Matthew in 2019 she returned briefly before taking some time out again.

Charley made her final appearance in the ITV serial drama as Debbie Dingle in early 2021.

Debbie had returned to the show as part of a huge Christmas twist, which saw her revealed to be Al Chapman’s (Michael Wildman) mystery love interest. 

But after getting wind of the fact that Al was engaged to Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade) at the same time he was seeing her, she sought Priya’s help in staging the ultimate revenge plan, before departing the village once more.
