iPod is a champion

The ROKR E1 Motorola phone hasn't stirred up too much enthusiasm. The majority of criticisms are related to the fact that the new iTunes compatible phone can only store 100 songs, which is regarded as a small capacity.

Other analysts notice that despite the fact that the device is advanced from the technological point of view, the consumers might not rush into buying the Motorola ROKR E1, because its price is close to iPod nano's.

From what can be seen in the images and presentations that have appeared on the Internet, Motorola ROKR E1 is designed by the cell phone company, Apple being responsible only for the software's integration.

Analysts, such as Michael Gartenberg from Jupiter Research, also consider that aside from the iTunes fans, the Motorola ROKR E1 won't be very successful. Another reproach brought to the phone is that it doesn't have the same navigation system as the iPod.

When it comes to iPod nano, things are completely different. Everybody who participated at the launch or had the opportunity to test an iPod nano, has had only favorable comments.

Wall Street Journal has even published an enthusiastic article about the new iPod nano's qualities.

Perhaps it would have been a better if Apple launched the two products separately? Or perhaps they should have gotten more involved in the design of the Motorola phone?
