Beyonce is clearly “crazy in love” with her fans.
Beyonce Knowles-Carter went above and beyond for her fans on Sunday after she allegedly spent $100,000 to keep Washington DC’s public transit open after her “Renaissance Tour” was delayed due to bad weather.
The concert, which was held at FedEx Field, was delayed for nearly two hours as management had concertgoers shelter in place, reported a local DC ABC outlet.
“Due to lightning in the area, we are currently under a shelter-in-place order,” reads a tweet from officials. “Fans outside of gates and in the parking lots are asked to return to their cars. All fans inside of the stadium are asked to shelter in place under covered concourse areas and ramps until further notice.”
One reporter who was inside the stadium at the time of the order claimed that several people were being treated for heat exhaustion.
“From FedEx Field official: During shelter-in-place, a number of people were treated on-site for heat exhaustion given the temperatures and how packed people were in the concourse,” tweeted 7 News reporter Christian Flores. “The safest place to be during severe weather. One person taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.”
The scene in DC mirrored that of the Nashville leg of Taylor Swift’s “Eras” Tour when guests were told to shelter in place at Nissan Stadium due to a severe lightning storm.
At 8:25 p.m., the venue signaled an all-clear, however, one Queen Bey fan revealed that as of 8:40 p.m., no one was still being admitted “including people who have been scanned and have wristbands.”
The continued delay sparked chaos and confusion.
“I have NEVER had a concert entry experience like this,” tweeted on local Fox News reporter who also included a video showing a rather tense confrontation with police. “I’m in but … oh my.”
Following the concert, the “Single Ladies” songstress, 41, and the WMTA revealed that due to the late start, all 98 stations would remain open an extra hour so that everyone could get home safely.
“Hold Up #Beyhive,” wrote the official X ( formerly Twitter) account for Metrorail. “Metro & Renaissance Tour will extend the last train by an extra hour to weather the storm. The last Silver Line train toward Ashburn tonight will now depart Morgan Boulevard at 1:04 a.m.”
The Post reached to Knowles-Carter for comment.
Several fans also commended the singer for her commitment to her fans.
“DC Metro and Beyoncé’s team really came through for us by extending the train time after the Renaissance concert,” applauded one fan.
“It rained so hard in DC tonight. Beyoncé delivered an amazing show despite the delays,” gushed a second person.
“Beyoncé said rain or shine DC, we doing this. And I lived, yet again,” said a third attendee.
This is not the first time things have gone wrong for Queen Bey.
During the Illinois leg of her tour, the “1+1” singer had a heated exchange with her stage crew after they failed to provide the singer with cool air from a nearby fan.
The clip, which was posted to TikTok, shows the singer belting out the hit whiles gesturing to a crew member and then to the fan.
Abandoning all hope of subtlety, the music icon asks point-blank to turn the machine on.
“Turn the fan on,” she sings during the song’s bridge.
Finally, the “Crazy In Love” songstress got the air she deserved and gave the crew an “ok” symbol to let them know that she was cooling down.
