Rachel McAdams says there’s ‘definitely room for more’ kids

Rachel McAdams said she “waited a long time” to experience motherhood.

Opening up about her 7-month-old son for the first time, the actress told the UK’s Sunday Times she “didn’t want to do it before it was the right time.”

“It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down,” said the Oscar nominee. “[People] say your life is not your own anymore, but I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person.”

McAdams, 40, and boyfriend Jamie Linden, a screenwriter, welcomed their first child in April, but have not announced his name.

“I want to keep his life private, even if it isn’t mine,” she said.

And while McAdams has enjoyed her new role as a mother — “I’m having more fun being a mom than I’ve ever had” — she’s also embraced the ups and downs of raising a child.

“Even the tough days, there’s something delightful about them,” she shared.

As for expanding her family further, McAdams is open to the idea.

“I think there is definitely room for more,” she said.

In the meantime, the “Disobedience” star is doing all she can to keep herself together.

“I have clothes on and that’s a good thing,” McAdams joked. “I don’t even know what I’m wearing today. The shoes are held together with glue. Isn’t that sad? I need to get a life.”

McAdams and Linden have dated since 2016.
