Matthew McConaughey jokes his tequila is the best thing he and wife Camila made with their ‘pants on’

Matthew McConaughey is taking a shot at the tequila biz.

Acclaimed chef Daniel Boulud hosted an intimate party last week to toast McConaughey’s new tequila brand, Pantalones.

The Oscar winner arrived at the soirée at Centurion New York straight from taping “The Tonight Show,” we hear, where he and host Jimmy Fallon shot a viral “Tight Pants” sketch in which they humorously shimmied in slim trousers.

The “Dallas Buyers Club” star created the new high-end hooch with his wife, Camila Alves, and a source at the Boulud bash near Bryant Park told us the actor’s “toast about his new tequila was hilarious.”

McConaughey apparently explained to the gathering: “I measure my drink in five ways. One, how does it taste? Two, how is the time had on it, how’s the buzz? Three, how is the sleep? Four, how are the dreams? Five, how is the hangover?”

He summed up, “The juice we have here will bat five for five,” and he added it’s “the best thing that Camila and I made with our pants on!”

The couple has three kids.

Boulud is busy running some of the top dining spots in NYC: The night before McConaughey’s bash, the chef was spotted with Jerry Seinfeld at Café Boulud on Park Avenue.

The comic is performing at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre through March 9.

On “The Tonight Show,” McConaughey also told Fallon that he recently took one of his kids to a Six Flags park in Texas to ride roller coasters for her birthday — when he lost his phone on one of the rides.

“It landed off in the middle a swamp — phone’s gone, right,” McConaughey told Fallon.

He added, “These guys at Six Flags say, ‘We can’t check down there right now, because we’re still open, but when it closes tonight, we’ll go out with flashlights and look for your phone.'”

Lo and behold, “The next afternoon at 6 p.m., my phone shows up in the mail. Yeah, they found it and sent it to me!”

We’ll drink to that!
