The singer, 36, and Formula 1 champion, 30 – who’ve been together on and off for seven years – mutually decided to break up, Scherzinger The Sun, which broke the story. “I’m devastated that it didn’t work out,” said Scherzinger. “It was the hardest decision we had to make, but we made it together.” The duo have parted on a number of occasions, but this latest split appears permanent. “It really is over this time,” tells the U.K. paper. “Nicole has finally had enough. She knew Lewis had no plans to marry her. She’s completely gutted.” The former member of the Pussycat Dolls and X Factor judge had wanted to settle down and there were reports of an impending engagement. Recording her latest album, Big Fat Lie, was like "therapy" she said, following her eight-year battle with bulimia. The Sun reports Scherzinger looked upset while arriving for her performance in Cats at the London Palladium this week. “I love Lewis and I know he loves me,” she said. “We wish nothing but happiness and the very best for one another. I’m trying to stay strong in my faith right now.”
