Usher is showing his love to one of hip-hop’s greatest.

During his My Way Las Vegas Residency last Friday, the R&B icon, 45, took a moment to shout out Dr. Dre, who was in the audience. Audience members captured the thoughtful moment in which the performer came over to the rapper/record producer, 58.

Fans captured Usher paying tribute to the music mogul. “He is an amazing contributor to this music industry,” the hip-hop star said while standing in the middle of the crowd at Park MGM’s Dolby Live indoor amphitheater. “For all the artists he has broken, as well as the amazing artist that he is, ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together for the one, the only Dr. Dre.”

The Grammy winner (whose real name is Andre Romell Young) looked honored as he got up from his seat to thank the cheering crowd with a salute before walking over and embracing the “Yeah!” artist with a hug.

“Yo, Dre! I’m giving you your flowers tonight, my man,” the hitmaker said before playing a medley of some of the music industry veteran’s biggest hits.

Usher filled the amphitheater with songs like Dr. Dre’s own “Still D.R.E” and his Eminem-assisted “Forgot about Dre,” as well as several of his iconic collaborations with Snoop Dogg, “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” Ain’t No Fun (If The Homies Can’t Have None)’

As the tracks played, the “OMG” singer danced along to the beat and even stood on top of the bench Dre was sitting on, grooving to the music.

Usher himself also shared footage of the fun moment on Instagram, showing Dre rocking out to his own hits. In the caption, he continued to show his love for the hitmaker.

"THE West Coast Legend @drdre was in the house so U know I had to give him his flowers !! 🙌🏾," he wrote.

The superstar has been known to take a moment to bring attention to the celebrity guests who’ve stepped out to support him at his My Way residency. That same night, the Grammy winner showed his love for Doja Cat and Jessica Alba, who were also in attendance and received a sweet serenade

Throughout the acclaimed show’s run, couples Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade, Zendaya and Tom Holland, and stars like Issa Rae, Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, Kim Kardashian, Kimora Lee Simmons, Issa Rae and Taraji P. Henson, among others, have been in the crowd.

Usher’s My Way Residency — featuring a setlist of his greatest hits, incredible choreography and many swoon-worthy moments — first kicked off in July 2022 and has been extended multiple times. The “Love in this Club” artist is currently wrapping up the final dates of the show's run, which will conclude in December.

Next year, the star will release his ninth studio album Coming Home, which marks his first record since 2016’s Hard II Love. The album will drop on Feb. 11, 2024 — the same date he is set to take the stage at the Super Bowl as the headlining halftime show performer
