The Dwarf Gourami (a.k.a. Trichogaster lalius) is a freshwater fish that originates from South Asia.
It is a tiny species of Gourami normally found in waterways, streams, paddy fields, irrigation channels and other agricultural lands in South Asia, though it has been successfully bred and distributed worldwide.
Turquoise Dwarf Gourami
Rainbow Dwarf Gourami
This fish is very popular breed since every variety comes in its own beautiful, iridescent distinctive colour. Some of its varieties are the Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami which is bright blue in colour, Flame Dwarf Gourami which is red in colour, and the Rainbow Dwarf Gourami which has stripes of bright blue and dark red.
Its colourful metallic stripes, small size, and generally peaceful demeanour make it one of the best centrepiece community fish even in tanks as small as 10 gallons (45 Litres). Because the Dwarf Gourami likes to take residence in slow-moving waters with plenty of vegetation. In the aquarium you should try to replicate this so your little Gourami is a happy camper with plenty of hideouts as the fish is also very shy.

How to introduce your new fish to your tanks? Before the fish arrive you should have changed the water in your quarantine tank and ensure that the tank is mature and fully cycled so it is ready for your new additions, all new fish should be quarantined separately from your existing stock for at least 7-14 days to ensure they are happy and healthy and to let them get over the stress of transportation without being harassed by your existing stock. When your fish arrive, turn off your aquarium light. Inspect your new fish in the bags and if all is ok then float the bag on the tank for a period of about 20 minutes to help equalize the temperatures. Then cut the bag below the metal clip and roll the top down so that the bag can float in the aquarium. Add a cup of aquarium water to the bag and leave for a further 5 minutes then add another cup and wait another 5 minutes. You can then release your fish by netting them and putting them in your tank. Never add the bagged water to your aquarium DOA's & Returns ***We offer an arrive alive guarantee on all of our fish this guarantee is only valid if you have followed the conditions set out below to the letter!*** ALTHOUGH VERY RARE, IF YOU HAVE NEED TO MAKE A CLAIM ON THE GUARANTEE PLEASE DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE FISH UNTIL YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO US AS IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR US TO EXAMINE IT1) you must ensure that someone is available to sign for your order it should be delivered by 12pm the day after we dispatch, If the tracking shows no one was available on the first attempt this guarantee will be void 2) In the rare occurrence that a fish may sadly arrive dead you must ensure you contact us within 1 hour of signing for the order (we will then check the tracking) 3) you must supply us with pictures of the fish within the bag UNOPENED and a picture of the packaging they arrived in. |
Please take the time to video thats starts before breaking the box seals, opening the the box and unpacking of the bags as they come out of the box upon delivery as this is required to validate your DOA warranty should the need arise and can provide valuable evidence should a courier claim be required as this is your insurance policy. In the extremely unlikely event that any fish are dead on arrival, contact us immediately with supporting video of the fish in the bag. We will not be accountable for any fish after they have been released from the bag and introduced to your environment
We guarantee live arrival of your livestock. However in the unlikely event of any of your fish arriving DOA, please take clear photo evidence and send it to us via ebay messages.
The deceased fish must be still in the original bag, unopened.
We cannot cover any fish that have died once they have enter your systems water.
Once we have received your video evidence of the DOA in the original packaging, we will at our discretion refund you straight away, or send a replacement fish out free of charge with your next order.
We do not refund any shipping charges. and no fish can be returned once received due to animal welfare issues in packing them correctly for returnin g
On the rare occasion where a return of live fish has been agreed it is your responsibility to ensure that they are packaged safely and humanely so as not to cause the fish any unnecessary suffering during transit.
All fish should be placed in fish bags with rounded bottoms to ensure the fish cant get trapped in the corners of the bags with a ratio of 1/3 water to 2/3 air and will require medical grade oxygen to inflate the bags to ensure the fish do not suffocate in transit,
the bags should be of sufficient size to allow the fish enough room to swim upright and be able to turn round in the bags without having to bend
we recommend that all fish should be double bagged to prevent fish from puncturing the bags in transit
they then should be returned in the polystyrene box that we sent them to you in and depending on the species being returned they may require the use of a new heat pack (mainly for tropical species)
**PLEASE NOTE**
Once live animals are ordered & have been dispatched,
orders cannot be cancelled and livestock may not ordinarily be returned, this is due to the livestock may be classed as
"liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly"
due to the limited amount of time they can remain in an enclosed enviroment
also returns are not allowed without prior consent due to biosecurity concerns and to prevent the spread of possible desease or pathogens
