Kelly Brook Hits Back At Claims She's Trivializing Domestic Violence

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment NOW!, Kelly Brook has hit back at claims she trivialized domestic violence during an appearance on This Morning this week.

Kelly’s new book ‘Close Up: The Autobiography’ controversially sees the model and actress admit to punching two of her former flames Jason Statham and Danny Cipriani in heated rows.

After these revelations sparked a furore, Kelly faced a further online backlash when she quipped to presenter Phillip Schofield on This Morning: “These are big men I'm going out with - I mean look at me - I'm not going to do them any damage!”

Reacting to claims on social media that she trivialized domestic violence, Kelly told Entertainment NOW!’s Jo Parkerson she blames the producers and Phillip Schofield for putting her in that situation.

Explaining that she doesn’t condone violence, Kelly said: “I never said it was right to do that (hit a boyfriend), I never once said that. Phillip wanted to go there but then he really didn’t go there so it was a bit tricky.

“If he really wanted to have a conversation with me about domestic violence then maybe we should have got someone else on the show as well and we could have all had a proper debate about it.

“That really wasn’t the interview. I think everyone was a bit confused about how we should have dealt with it. I think it was poor management on the producer’s part. We should have all been properly briefed on something that was so serious.”
