Khuffayn are the traditional leather socks that are used for wudhu (ablution). They were used by the Prophet SAW and his Sahaba RAA on different occasions, as supported by multiple authentic ahadith. Jawarib are the simple socks that are common nowadays and made out of different materials and designs.
If the jawarib fulfill specific criteria as laid out by Shari'ah, they are considered to be khuff (prayer socks) and can be used for masah during ablution. And this is why we made The Wudhu Socks!

Another instance by Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah RA also validates the use of khuff during ablution. He was once with the Prophet SAW when he moved his hands to remove the apparel from the feet of The Prophet SAW, but The Prophet stopped him, declaring that His (SAW) feet were already pure from the former act of ablution.
