Mount Everest

Table Mountain

A flat-topped mountain making a striking landmark opposite Cape Town in South Africa, the Table Mountain is visited via cableway or hiking by the tourists. The mountain is a part of the Table Mountain National Park.

Huangshan Mountains

Mount Huangshan is located in eastern China. It is known for its scenery, sunsets, oddly-shaped granite peaks etc. Mount Huang has inspired several traditional Chinese painters, photographers and literary experts.

Drakensberg Mountains

The Drakensberg, as high as 11,420 ft, is the highest mountain range in Southern Africa. The Amphitheatre is a unique cliff of the Northern Drakensberg. The Amphitheatre is 5 km in length and has precipitous cliffs as high as 4000 ft along its total length.

Mount Kilimanjaro

Mt Kilimanjaro is a volcano situated in North Tanzania featuring three volcanic cones–Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira. It is Africa’s highest mountain and the highest single free-standing mountain on the earth at 19,341 ft above sea level and 16,100 ft above its plateau base.

Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji in Japan is one of the Three Holy Mountains along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku. This historic volcano had entered the World Heritage List as a Cultural Site in 2013. Mount Fuji has been a site of pilgrimage for centuries, and has been an inspiration to several poets and painters.

Switzerland shares the Alps mountains (from west to east) with Italy, Austria, France and Liechtenstein. The Swiss Alps contain almost all the highest peaks in Western Europe. The beautiful Alps are famous for hiking and trekking.
