On Thursday 10 September, the Government appointed Special Adviser Henrik Haapajärvi State Secretary to Prime Minister Sanna Marin. Haapajärvi will deputise for State Secretary Mikko Koskinen during his parental leave period from 17 September 2020 to 17 January 2021.
At the same Government plenary session, State Secretary Haapajärvi gave his declaration of office.
Matti Niemi, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister for EU Affairs, will deputise for Haapajärvi as Special Political Adviser to the Prime Minister and as Secretary of the Social Democratic Party’s Government Group for that period.
