L066 - King Tiger Pleco (Hypancistrus sp.)

These are gorgeous fish with intricate and striking patterns. They have a dark colour body with lighter line markings.

Suitable tank mates can include tetras, corydoras, discus, apistogrammas and snails. 

Tiger plecos are omnivores and eat both alage and insects and tiny crustaceans in the wild. 

We suggest they are fed a diet of algae wafers and bloodworms. Plecos dont eat plants or remove them from roots, so you can add some plants to their tank. They also love hiding in and amongst driftwood, rock caves, terra cotta pots or tubes.
