Helena Halme grew up in Tampere, central Finland, and moved to the UK via Stockholm and Helsinki at the age of 22. A former BBC journalist, Helena has also worked as a magazine editor, bookseller, and has run a Finnish/British cultural association in London.

Since gaining an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University, Helena has published 16 fiction titles and three nonfiction books, including 'Write Your Story: Turn Your Life Into Fiction In 10 Easy Steps.'

Helena now lives in North London with her ex-Navy husband. Although she writes contemporary women's fiction, she loves Nordic Noir and sings along to ABBA when no one is listening.
