Ex-Famous Person Jenna Jameson Is Mad at Playboy for Featuring First Transgender Playmate

It’s a tale as old as time: A former relevant person is mad about an actual relevant person.

Jenna Jameson, for those who aren't aware, has been in the adult entertainment industry for over twenty years. You'd think that may make her accepting of women who want to follow in her footsteps, but no such luck for Ines Raus, who happens to be the first transgender model Playboy has ever featured. Instead of supporting Raus, Jameson took to Twitter to express her anger with the brand for their decision.

Playboy decided to feature Raus in its November issue because, according to Cooper Hefner (the late Hugh Hefner's son), "It’s the right thing to do. We’re at a moment where gender roles are evolving.” He also told The New York Times, "This is really a moment for us to take a step back and say that so much of what the brand stood for in the early years is very much still alive in culture.” However, Jameson doesn't agree with this viewpoint, and her tweet about the issues makes that clear. She included the "SMH" emoji three times for good measure.

Jameson has been in Playboy herself many times, including on the cover. She says that she's not transphobic, she just doesn't agree with trans women being in the magazine. She also fundamentally misunderstands the difference between sex and gender, but people were quick to set her straight on Twitter.

Regardless of the irrelevant noise Jameson is making, Raus looks great, and good on Playboy for finally making a change it frankly should've made a while ago.
