I bought this for a ATI HD 2600 Pro whose fan was so pathetic it was grinding away in about 4 months from purchase. ATI's response, "send the card in for warranty work; no we can't just send you a fan; you have to experience downtime for our cheap outsourcing of bottom dollar fans." Obviously an unacceptable response/solution, so an alternative cooling option was needed.

This has many mounting holes to cover a variety of cards, and everything is provided from thermal paste to rubber gaskets (vibration damping) and plastic washers (non-conductor for screw isolation).

It's pretty big, and will take a slot up, but perfectly cleared the caps on the video card. Product exceeded my expectations.

Ho comprato questo sistema di dissipazione del calore per la mia "vecchia" Asus 7900gs montata in un sistema Dell Dimension 9200, visto che la ventola normale con windows 7 girava a livelli troppo rumorosi. Consiglio di visitare il sito del produtore per verificare la compatibilità con la scheda asus o Ati compatibili, tral'altro numerosa. Il dissipatore si presenta con una struttura lamellare totalmente in rame. Ha dimensioni rilevanti, arrivando ad occupare lo spazio di due sportelli posteriori, tanto per dare l'idea. L'installazione richiede una certa manualità, ma in sostanza, data la completa dotazione di istruzioni in inglese, ma con disegni, risulta fattibile in una ventina di minuti. Nella confezione è presente la pasta termica. Il sistema non è compatibile con la regolazione automatica della velocità della ventola e quindi è dotato di un regolatore esterno con cavo piatto di quasi 50cm, utile a posizionarlo sulla parte frontale del case.
Come rumorosità posso testimoniare che al minimo NON SI SENTE! ma anche regolata al massimo produce un leggero sibilo. In quanto a funzionalità ho potuto verificare un abbattimento di almeno 10 gradi, passando da 49° a 39°. Messa la scheda sotto pressione e la ventola alla minima velocità, la temperatura non è salita oltre i 43°. Il venditore del Marketplace da cui la ho acquistata è stato celere, con un perfetto imballaggio. In conclusione considerando che il mio sistema non permette aggiornamenti in quel settore hardware, l'acquisto rappresenta un utile aggiornamento per allungarne la vita operativa, consentendo anche consistenti overclock.
