'Singapore Blood Red', auch "Blood Red Singapore", hat sicher die intensivste Rotfärbung von allen Rotala rotundifolia-Formen. Unter gleichen Bedingungen hat diese Rotala einen dunkleren Rot-Ton als R. rotundifolia "Colorata". So wie bei "normaler" Rotala rotundifolia wachsen die Triebe meist aufrecht bis aufsteigend, bei sehr starkem Licht auch mehr oder weniger horizontal. Die Triebe werden wie bei "normaler" Rotala rotundifolia über 50 cm lang, sehen aber besser aus, wenn sie durch Schnitt und Neustecken von Stecklingen ungefähr 20 - 40 cm hoch gehalten werden. Sie verzweigen sich von selbst recht gut, der buschige Wuchs wird durch gelegentlichen Schnitt gefördert.
Blattstruktur der submersen Blätter
Diese prächtig rote Stängelpflanze teilt mit anderen Formen der Rundblättrigen Rotala schnellen Wuchs und einfache Kultur. Sie wächst noch bei mäßiger Beleuchtung und ohne CO2-Zugabe, doch sieht mit starkem Licht, CO2-Zusatz und vollständiger Makro- und Mikronährstoffdüngung über die Wassersäule am besten aus. Die Vermehrung ist einfach über Kopfstecklinge und Seitentriebe.
Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore" ist als ungefähr 20 - 40 cm hoher Busch im Mittel- und Hintergrund ein wahrer Hingucker. Sie kontrastiert besonders mit hellgrünen Pflanzen und fügt den vielfältigen Farbtönen der R. rotundifolia-Formen einen sattroten Ton hinzu.

I received the plant in a good condition, didn't need anything fancy to prosper. I just planted it in my small nano, with some co2 and jbl manado dark substrate, so nothing fancy. (read more)
