This guy shine in the dark so pick him up immediately. After release to my tank, found this is not a Yamato, but they do look quite similar. No wonder confuse people to mix him with Yamato. Manage to find out this guy actually call Green lacer shrimp, Atyoida pilipes. Too bad he only manage to survive for 3 days.

I don't know how those people "look", but the very obvious difference is that these shrimps have fan-like appendages. One "look" and surely they know that these can't be Yamato shrimps.

In any case, they don't just come in green, there are also bluish and pinkish-red versions.

I got this one at a Yamato tank when try to catch some "blue shrimp" which turn up to be Malayan. What a confusing shop... Maybe because the shop never sleep.

You got this from P******'s yamato tank?? You really have good eyes! That tank is SO dark and SO low, you'll have back ache .
Maybe if you search the other tanks, you'll find some other special shrimps, hehe!

    Hi,

this fan shrimp needs strong current and likes to sit on rocks, fixed somewhere higher in the tank - feeding on dust food. If it walks on the tank gravel, the fans get damaged and the shrimp starves. Besides, walking on the ground is a sign that the shrimp is hungry.
