Helm Reinvents The Jaguar E-Type With A Limited Run Of Modernised Classics

The Jaguar E-Type is considered by many as one of the most beautiful pieces of automotive craftsmanship to have ever existed. In 2008, forty-seven years after its release, the E-Type placed first in The Daily Telegraph’s online list of the world’s “100 most beautiful cars” of all time.

With over a decade of his life committed to sourcing the finest examples of these cars from Europe and the UK, Cheedan Battik founded Helm to breathe life once more into what Enzo Ferrari himself called “the most beautiful car ever made.”

Helm will bring together modern technology, partnered with unmatched bespoke interiors, to produce 20 ultra-exclusive Series 1 Jaguar E-Types. Each car will be made to the exact specifications of their destined owners and create one of a kind piece of automotive art with attention to every detail, which will never again be replicated.

Helm will keep most of the car true to its original form, including the steel-reinforced shell, handmade aluminum doors, and aircraft-grade stainless steel exhausts. However, a good chunk of modern technology will feature too. Under the hood will sit a 300 bhp 3.8-liter engine. Each car will get items such as electronic speed-sensitive power steering and a bespoke engineered 5-speed gearbox. Creature comforts such as a soft-close door system, fan-assisted LED lighting, and a heated screen are all aimed at making this classic car a more desirable proposition from a modern-day technological standpoint.

The interior of each recreated E-Type will be crafted under the watchful eye of Bill Amberg. The cars will include material of the finest quality, with every stitch handcrafted to perfection. The bodyshell will be both heat and sound insulated, with only the finest semi-aniline leather and calf suede selected. Lucky owners will also be able to relish in the Helm E-Type’s bespoke instruments, upgraded Bluetooth stereo, and that all-important facet of modern motoring: air conditioning.
