Jumeirah Mosque in Dubai

What’s this place all about?
As the only mosque in Dubai that's open to non-Muslim visitors, the Jumeirah Mosque is popular with a range of travelers—it's also the most photographed. Visitors are allowed in six days a week, Saturday through Thursday, but must take a guided tour, offered at 10 a.m. Tickets are $5.45 USD. You don't need to take a tour to be on the exterior grounds, though.

What’s it like being there?
The mosque is one of the most beautiful in the Emirates, crafted entirely from white stone in medieval Fatimid style. It's particularly breathtaking at dusk.

Is there a guide involved?
Tours are provided by the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding.

Who comes here?
Many non-Muslims join in the guided tours, which includes Arabian coffee and pastries, though you'll also see practicing Muslims visiting the site as well.

Did it meet expectations?
Guides are friendly and willing to answer any questions.

What, or who, do you think it’s best for? If you're interested in seeing the interior of a traditional mosque, the affordable tour charge is well worth it. Women should come dressed modestly, although extra clothing is provided if needed.
