'You're all skin and bone': Emmerdale star Charley Webb is forced to hit back at skinny-shaming trolls after sharing light-hearted dance video

Charley Webb hit back at skinny-shaming trolls after showing off her physique in a light-hearted dance video on Monday.

The Emmerdale star, 35, took to her comments section on Instagram after a horrid slew of remarks suggested her legs could 'snap.'

The actress had depicted her 'Bank holiday beautiful chaos', kicking off with a video of her dancing to Rihanna's What's My Name?

Charley appeared in good spirits as she danced along to the track in a black knit dress with semi sheer tights and brown Ugg boots.

Committing to her performance, she tied her brunette locks back into a bun and swung her hips whilst holding a microphone.

She was joined by a friend who was also eager to show off her moves.

She wrote in her caption: 'At my friends BBQ celebrating another year of them with the same old moves.'

However, the playful scenes prompted some unwanted trolls, with one writing: 'Looks like those legs could snap any minute.'

Another put: 'Charley you are gorgeous... but you're all skin and bone.'

'Bandy legs', another wrote.

Yet Charley - and her fans - were quick to react.

One fan called out the troll and wrote: 'So.. posts a video having fun, she's "too thin"; posts ads, too many ads; potentially puts weight on, must be pregnant; pics of kids, shouldn't expose them; no pics, "where've you gone"!! Is it any wonder people feel they can do no right!'

The actress was quick to reply, writing, 'Innit,' along with a peace sign Emoji icon.

Another fan put: 'Are we gonna learn to stop commenting on each others bodies?'

One added: 'Wtf why didn't you just leave it as she looks gorgeous? So unnecessary.'

It comes after Charley revealed she's been forced to shut down her 'dream' business, after struggling to find time to focus on running it.

The Emmerdale star set up the Scandi-inspired Nordi Babi in 2020 with her husband and co-star Matthew Wolfenden, which sells wooden children's toys.

Matthew and Charley were also working with his brother David on the business.

Taking to Instagram, Charley wrote: '@nordi_babi is closing. I've loved this chapter and the journey it's taken us on but we just don't have the time to run it the way we want to.'

'I love everything Scandi so this has been a dream.'

Nordi Babi has teething, stacking and pull-along toys which are all wooden and the brand is now having a 40 per cent off closing sale.

The idea for the concept occurred after Charley struggled in 2010 to find toys that her first baby son Barker liked.

It comes after the star voiced her annoyance after she crashed her car into a post in December.

The star took to her Instagram to share a picture of the damage to her Audi after knocking her bumper off.

She wrote: 'Good morning to ME. Just bashed my car into a post and this is the result.'

The actress said she was 'p******' off by the accident, saying: 'Today is not my day'.

Addressing her followers in a video, Charley said: 'Really annoying. I was driving into a space, I wasn't even driving fast.

'If I'd have been driving more than like 2 miles per hour, I probably would have taken the whole bonnet off. Can't believe the damage that it's done.'

She expressed her relief that no one was injured, saying: 'Anyway no one was hurt. So that's the main thing, but it's just really p***** me off.

'And then loads of stuff's gone wrong today, so it's just been really good. I need to go to bed and just get back up tomorrow because today is not my day.'

She added: 'I wouldn't mind but I went to bed last night and did this really nice abundance, affirmation and manifesting meditation. That did not work, did it?'

This isn't the first car accident for the soap star, after she was left in 'agony' when someone smashed into the back of her car in May 2021.

Charley spoke to followers on her Instagram story to explain she had been left with back pain after someone crashed into her car as she sat in traffic on the motorway.

She explained she was on her way to a chiropractor appointment for help with the pain the day after the accident.

Charley told her 503k followers that she had been sat in stationary traffic for some time when a women drove her car into the back of her.

She said: 'I had been stationary for quite a while so she obviously wasn't concentrating or watching where she going because she came right into the back of me...

'It wasn't actually that big of an impact, I didn't jerk forward or anything, but my lower back - I'm in agony.'

She went on to explain that she did not feel the pain initially, putting it down to the adrenaline after the crash, however she went on: 'I don't understand quite why its as bad as it is but oh my word it is so painful'.

The mother-of-three noted that it was lucky her youngest son Ace, 21 months at the time, was not in the car at the time.

She went on: 'Luckily I didn’t have Ace in the car, because that would have been a different story. The car obviously was hit quite hard but I’ve got quite a big car so it doesn’t show huge marks, but her bumper was definitely damaged.'
