Joanna behind the Award winning architecture studio Joanna Laajisto created her own vacation home near the Karjalohja lake. The house is connected to nature also keeping its privacy while sitting on the front deck. The interior of the house holds sleek and minimal approach and also keeping the sensation warm with natural tones and elements. The couple spend most of their time outside on summer and they designed it suitable for changing weather of Finland.
The sofa in the living room is vintage Yrjö Kukkapuro and the leather lounge chair designed by Ben af Schulten for Artek in the 1980´s. The sofa table is designed by me and made of ecological, untreated accoya mdf. The Lumme floor lamp is also designed by me specially for this place and can now be purchased at Artek and Finnish Design Shop.
