Kelly Brook has defended her recent appearance on This Morning.

The model has been accused of trivialising domestic violence during her interview with presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on Monday (September 8).

She admitted to punching ex-partners Jason Statham and Danny Cipriani in her autobiography Close Up, and told Schofield and Willoughby that she is "no angel".

However, some viewers felt that the interview made light of Brook's admission, and the model was seen giggling at one point during the discussion.

Speaking to Magic FM, Brook said: "I think it was poor management on the producer's part. I think we should have all been properly briefed on something that was so serious.

"I didn't really understand what Phillip was trying to get at to be honest. I knew that he really wanted to talk about domestic violence, but then he didn't really go there and if he wanted to have a serious conversation about it then maybe we should have got someone else on the show and we could have had a proper debate, but that wasn't the interview.

"I thought, 'Are we really going to go there? Do you really actually want to go there Phillip? Because I'm happy to...'"

She added that the interview was not what she was "briefed on", and said that "everyone was a bit confused".

On her behaviour, she said: "I'm quite giggly and upbeat. Sometimes the way I talk about things isn't serious enough, and maybe I was a bit naïve and maybe I should have taken that seriously."

Brook has also revealed that Cipriani is threatening to sue her over claims she has made in her book.

Kelly Brook's full interview with Magic FM will air on Sunday (September 14) at 7pm.
