This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby has shared a tribute to her mother-in-law Sandra who has died.

Taking to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message, Willoughby shared the news that her husband Dan Baldwin's mum Sandra has passed away.

"Sleep well Sandra… Nonna, Mother, Sister, friend… To know her was to know strength itself… Raising four children after losing her husband, she then lost a son and more recently her sister," wrote Willoughby.

"Thank you for your guidance, advice and bottomless Prosecco. Thank you for raising the incredible man I’m married to… I see your strength every day in our children… Be at peace…Love you."

Following the post, Willoughby was met with hundreds of comments of support from fans, friends and celebrities.

"I am so terribly sorry to hear of Sandra’s passing," wrote Vanessa Feltz. "I had such a memorable conversation with her. She exuded wisdom kindness and warmth. Sending love to you Dan and the whole family."

"Beautiful words for a truly beautiful and remarkable woman. I’m so sorry she’s no longer with you. Sending my heartfelt condolences x," commented Kate Thornton.

While Davina McCall penned: "Awww x Im sorry holly love to Dan and the kids too xxxx."

Among those to offer her support in her time of need were Willoughby's This Morning colleagues, including Craig Doyle who wrote: "I am so sorry for your loss Holly. Condolences to Dan and all the family."

Sharing in Willoughby's grief, This Morning vet Dr Scott Miller opened up about the recent loss of his own mother-in-law.

"So sorry lovely friend. I lost my amazing mother in law recently who I miss every day, so I can appreciate the pain you’re going through. Big love to you and D xxx," he commented.
