Felice Herrig will hunt for a desperate win in her upcoming fight against Virna Jandiroba at UFC 252 on August 15. The ‘Lil Bulldog’ is currently riding on a two-fight losing streak. Thus, a win against Jandiroba would revive her in the strawweight race.

Well, easier said than done, Virna Jandiroba can be a legitimate threat inside the cage. The Brazilian notched the first win of her UFC career against Mallory Martin in 2019, and here’s how her next fight might appear like.

Starting from July 2016 to December 2017, Herrig has competed four times in the UFC. She successfully notched victories in all those four contests. However, she lost back-to-back fights against Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Michelle Waterson in 2018, before raking an exit in 2019.

Well, it’s 2020, and she is back to action against a promising contender in Jandiroba.

Virna ‘Carcara’ Jandiroba was undefeated in pro-MMA before she paved her way into the UFC. Her debut was an unsuccessful affair as she lost against Carla Esparza via decision.

She still bounced back to dominance with an impressive win opposite Mallory Martin via second-round submission in her next fight. Although she is new to the promotion, ‘Carcara’ has already showcased herself to be a legitimate contender.

Orthodox vs Orthodox battle

The contest can seemingly go down on the mat, with both the contestants being comfortable on the ground. However, it will be equally alluring on feet.

That said, none of the fighters have registered a knockout win by now in the UFC. Jandriroba is just two-fight old in the promotion, but her upcoming rival has been a part of UFC for six years.

They can possibly break the barrier by unveiling a vicious knockout in the contest. Yet, most of the chances imply that they would prefer to battle each other on the ground. Whether a proper submission or ground and pound, both the women would seemingly relish that.
