Mistress by Jasper Conran is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Mistress was launched in 2007. Top notes are Ginger, Bergamot, Citruses and Aldehydes; middle notes are Jasmine, Rose, Lotus and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are Musk, Amber, Oakmoss, Dried Fruits and Cedar.

A mysterious fragrance featuring sparkling citrus notes comforted by a voluptuous floral and exotic heart with a rich warm and sensual base.

Top notes include: bergamot, ginger, lemongrass, citrus notes and fresh aldehydes. Sweet flowers are in the heart: jasmine Sambac, white lotus, Moroccan rose and ylang. The base is composed of milky and sweet musks, cedarwood, dried fruits, mosses and powdery amber notes.

Quintessentially British, a mix of classicism and modernity. Sexy black lace on pure transparent glass. The tall cylindrical cap contrasts with the contemporary square bottle.
The Eau de Parfum Prestige 50ml has a classic boudoir atomizer spray and is encased in a luxury coffret.

The fragrance is available in EDP Natural Spray 30, 50 and 100ml, and as the luxury Prestige edition EDP 50ml with refill of 50ml.

The fragrance was introduced in 2007. The scented candle Mistress is a winner of the Best home fragrance award FiFi 2008.

This fragrance is really growing on me. I won a bottle in a giveaway on the Fragrantica club forum and had never tried it so it could have been a real nono for me.

What I get from it is - clean, fresh and relaxing. I find it cool and quite zingy, with fresh spiciness coupled with green grassy notes and just a hint of wood and moss.

I find it doesn't last very long and the sillage it pretty low. But it's my ideal go to bed fragrance - a double spray of it on my wrists and neck helps me drift off into pleasant dreams.

It's not over feminine but its very very pleasing and doesn't go off after a few hours it just gently fades away. I like it!

„Conflicting signals”

Expectations can sometimes make the brain jump to a conclusion. Then, when finally meeting the object of your expectations, it turns out to be something far away from what you thought. That is exactly what I experienced with Mistress.
I saw the bottle and decided, like a million times before, that I had to own it because it set off my imagination of what was inside. The cube-shaped glass with its black lace decorations and the silk atomizer made promises of a seductive, spicy oriental and warm scent. A whore’s boudoir with loads of colourful scarves hanging from the walls for decoration. A dressing table filled with bottles and jars of brass, ebony and china, containing her beauty’s secrets. Items from her wardrobe spread out randomly around the room. And the smell of incense, exotic flowers and musk. Well, reality could not be further away from this assumption.
The first encounter is freshness - lots of aldehydes and ginger. I dare say that this could be taken for a unisex scent. It evolves beautifully directly into the base notes, totally skipping the heart notes, at least on my skin. But a lovely dryout with especially oakmoss and cedar. Unfortunately this is not an enduring scent. It disappears after 3-4 hours.
So, was I disappointed? Not the least. Surprised yes, but never disappointed. It was a wonderful experience to meet this somewhat different mistress, even though she was sending mixed signals. She is great for a summer afternoon, a shopping trip with the girls, a day at sea. Just remember that she is volatile so keep a room for her in your bag.

totally agree luktargott,it is perfect for autumn,a bit serious and cold perfume and i smell it it i feel a bit blue :)if you like powdery green fumes,it is perfect,i dont think it is oriental.
after hours you can smell lovely ginger on your clothes.

I think this is one of the perfumes I bought because I really like the bottle.I wanted to like the scent, I guess, but gave it away after using it only twice. The scent is too heavy for me

LuktarGott

This is a warm, clean fragrance with a great personality. Classy, very female, a bit glamorous but still not noisy. Goes not very well with office- or leisurewear, but it's perfect for a romantic dinner -a simple black dress is the perfect match. The ginger and citrus notes unite almost immediately and softly with the lovley flowery middlenotes, and finally the oakmoss and musk stays for a looong time... love it! In my taste a bit too sweet for summer, but great in autumn!

It were not pleasant to me. Too sweet and sharp.

That is a complete and ultimate flop.
First of all, everything about it is masculine. The bottle might be ornamented with floral motives, but it is square and very un-feminine, though it looks nice on the photos.
The smell is certainly that of a man's cologne. At first I could smell nothing, but then it evolved and I remembered: my dad had an aftershave that smelled similair. There is nothing 'warm' or 'sexy' or 'sweet' about it. It is sharp, masculine, intense. It would smell nice on a man, but since it is not even a unisex fragrance, I would give it a 1 out of 5.
