Fortifications of Mount Barbonnet.
Built between 1883 and 1886, the fort dominates Barbonnet bowl Sospel to 847 meters. The role of this work, which included strong Suchet was to lock the Bévera Valley. The fort consists of a powerful artillery with two armored turrets cast hard, two pieces of the same caliber replacement, 10 pieces of 95 mm on five locations, mortar for local defense. The storage area allowed the garrison of a siege lasting about six months.
Guided tours on Tuesdays and Saturdays only in July and August at 15h.
