The Giver Movie Posters Are Here and They're Haunting

I am beyond excited for The Giver—not to jinx it, but I just get the feeling that this is one of those rare book-to-movie moments that won't let fans down in the least. (I am purposefully not going back and reading the book, because I want the movie to be able to resurrect some middle-school memories for me.) In any case, the official poster, which dropped yesterday, only heightened my expectations. Mostly because Jeff Bridges looks like he was ripped directly off the original cover, and Brenton Thwaites looks innocent and well-meaning, and kind of like Geoffrey, the Toys "R" Us giraffe. Meryl Streep and Odeya Rush round out the image: BTW, here are Katie Holmes' and Taylor Swift's character posters for the film. It's almost hard to tell Swift and Rush apart in the promo images and trailer—but I suppose that's by design, what with the egalitarian utopia thing and all. What's with movie posters really stepping it up this week? Did you guys see the eerie, beautiful ones for Mockingjay: Part 1?
