Sika ja numerot
Sympaattinen sika ystävineen tutustuttaa pienimmät numeroihin. Kirjan sivuilla seikkailee myös tuttuja satuhahmoja. Hehkuvan värikkäät kuvat ja tekstit muodostavat loppuun asti harkitun kokonaisuuden. Kirjojen tunnelma viehättää myös aikuisia. Julia Vuoren Sika on niittänyt mainetta Helsingin Sanomien Nyt-viikkoliitteessä ja kolmessa albumissa sekä löytänyt laajan yleisön mm. Japanissa, Koreassa ja Kiinassa. Hyvän vastaanoton saaneen kuvakirjasarjan aiemmat osat on julkaistu yhteisniteenä

Learn numbers. Strange themes. Unhelpful.
Story: Numbers 1-10 +20 are represented in this book featuring a fantastical cast of characters.
Language: The left hand page features a number (1), an image representing the theme (a key), a two word description (one knight), while the right hand page is a full page illustration matching the description (one knight).
Characters: Instead if ordinary object, this book features water nymphs, snake charmers, witches and more.
While the illustrations are great, as with the other Sika picture books, the themes are incredibly off-base to an early learner. Save the fantastical creatures for stories and tales, keep basic objects to basic learning skills. Keep it simple.
