Fame comes at a cost and celebrities do pay a price for it anyway. No matter how unfair the scrutiny might look, it exists. Today, what follows the continuous celeb scanning is the chain of vicious trolls. Not surprising though, these trollers are crossing the line all the time. Not just Bollywood celebrities, but their kids too bear the brunt of the brutal trolling online.

When Aishwarya Rai arrived at NMACC gala night with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan recently, trolls were quick enough to be back at it. If you are an active social media user, you know, trolls have been after Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's daughter for the longest time. With all the displeasing comments on 11-year-old Aaradhya's hairstyle flooding online, looks like there isn't any end to it.

The Curious Case Of Shaming A Mother For Her Daughter’s Hairstyle

For the unversed, let us tell you that Aaradhya Bachchan has been a troll target for years now because of her fringe hair cut which covers her forehead. Ever wondered if something like that can garner buzz?

Most comments go like, “I think now they should change their daughter's hairstyle.. it doesn't suit her”, “Bachi ka hairstyle change karo”, "Can someone pl fire her stylist " (sic), “Change her fringe, it’s very cringe” and they don’t seem to stop. And interestingly, this isn’t all, many users were “kind” enough to suggest hairstyles for little Aaradhya. “Give her curtain bangs she will look good,” read a comment on Rai’s Instagram post.

Previously, Abhishek Bachchan did hit back at the trolls and in an interview lashed out at them for shaming her daughter. During an interview, he said, “It’s completely unacceptable and something that I will not tolerate. I’m a public figure that’s fine, my daughter is out of bounds. If you have anything to say, come and say it to my face.”

While not every celebrity chooses to fight back trolls, some do not keep mum and always have a fitting reply. However, we wonder if that is the only way to deal with online trolls. How hard can it be for them to understand that it isn't acceptable behaviour?

Most of us assume that celebs are used to trolling but little do people realise that trolling can negatively impact an individual's psychological health and disturb mental well-being in the long run.

Trolls Hitting A New Low Every Single Time

Not just for her daughter’s hairstyle, the mother-daughter duo has been a victim of troll attacks for other bizarre reasons too. On the occasion of Aaradhya’s birthday, Rai took to her IG and shared a picture with the birthday girl while planting a kiss on her lips. Strangely, this too didn’t go down well with internet trolls and they flooded her post with hate comments. A user wrote, “Very cringy ! She is all grown up now . A kiss on forehead or cheek would look so adorable . I respect the relation but this? Aishwarya please don’t come across like a wanna be.” (sic)

“Clearly a publicity stunt and some clowns are calling it love of a mother grow up kids,” wrote another one. It is disheartening to see people writing such hateful comments on a post that just celebrates a mother-daughter relationship. The judging never stops! Yes, that's the world we inhabit. Trolls have all the time in the world to spew hate and their malicious intentions seem to have no limit.

No matter what their ultimate purpose is, trollers need to realise that eventually, they don’t run anyone’s life, and if they continue to think so, hard luck!
