Nine days ago, Kate Beckinsale shared a couple of mysterious selfies from a hospital bed without any explanation, and based on her social media activity, it appears that the actress is still there.

On Tuesday, Beckinsale shared a new snap to her Instagram Story in which she is lying against a pillow on the bed while wearing a blue hospital gown, and her blonde-highlighted hair is pulled back with face-framing strands in the front. This photo, which was obtained by People, does not contain a caption or the reason for her hospital stay. The actress has yet to reveal why she was admitted, and the outlet reports that Beckinsale's rep declined to comment. In the initial post, Beckinsale wore the same patterned nightie and hairdo that was accented by a massive black bow headband.

During her stay, however, People notes that Beckinsale has had a few special visitors, including her cat, Willow, and Pomeranian pup, Myf. She shared pictures from their time together writing "visitor" alongside both the posts of her furry friends.

The initial images were included in the middle of an Instagram photo dump in honor of U.K. Mother's Day and her mother Judy's birthday. The post included sweet snaps of the actress's mom seemingly celebrating her special day, in addition to several images from the hospital, including teary-eyed selfies. In her caption and tribute to her mother, Beckinsale alluded to the fact that she is "sick."

"Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother," Beckinsale captioned the post. "Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s shit and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t. And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us... And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love."
